Abstract:

Defects of oxygen masks being used in our country are in ve stigated and analyzed. Based on the two-dimensional characteristic data distrib utions and anatomical structures of pilots' faces and noses and the requirement s of oxygen-supply physiology, a new typing and sizing method for oxygen masks is founded. The two-dimensional facial and nasal parameter values corresponding to each size mask are determined, and the two-dimensional sealing curve of eac h size mask is designed. The results can be used to measure and determine the th ree-dimensional sealing curve, which is the basis of a new high performance mas k modeling design.
