Abstract: product development process involving different departments is described on the computer integrated manufacture eilvironment.The functional requirements of the configuration management system are defined to support the process.The system can control the change of product data throughout the whole development process,and it allows different departments to share valid design data at any time. The data model and the framework of the system are also discussed.
