INTEGRAL SOLUTION OF THE FULL POTENTIAL EQUATION FOR TRANSONIC FLOW AROUND WIND-BODY COMBINATIONS

Abstract: An integral equation method for solving the full potential equation which is described by Prandtl Glauert operator is developed for wing body combinations in transonic flows. In order to capture the shock wave, Murman Cole type of finite difference scheme is used to calculate spatial source distribution. The numerical results are in good agreement with the results of experiment.
