Abstract:

The dynamics problem of cylindrical shell with partially covered ringshape constrained layer damping (CLD) is investigated using the transfer function method. The equations of motion and the boundary conditions of shell with partially CLD treatment are derived with the Donnell assumptions by using the Hamilton principle. After Laplace’s transform and the state vector introduced, the governing equation is established in state space.
