Abstract: The armed helicopter is an important weapon in the future war. It requires its fire control system with higher precision and faster reaction. In this paper, a design scheme suitable for gunship fire control system is put forwared. For this scheme, attack range can be increased by adopting two-degree-of-freedom trainable gun, measuring precision of airborne sensors about aircraft and target moving parameters can be raised by adopting aircraft state estimator and target state estimator, and hit probability can be raised by adopting closed loop fire control algorithm. The closed loop fire control system is one of the development orientations of the future fire control system. In this paper, a grey remnant difference self-tunning closed loop fire control algorithm is put forward. The mathematical model of the system is established and all algorithms are deduced. The simulation on the entire fire control system shows that this fire control system has large attack range, high hit probability, fast reaction velocity and excellent robustness and that this algorithm can perform real time operation on the airborne fire control computer.
