Abstract: Radar detection performance is the most fundamental and most important performance of the radar, and radar detection performance test is an important part of the radar test. For various reasons, the prototype test of a radar system is difficult to carry out or it can be carried out only on a small scale. A large number of equivalent tests are required to assist the test/identification/evaluation of radar performance. In view of the radar performance evaluation under little or no radar prototype test data, this paper proposes an equivalent calculation method of radar detection performance which is based on test data analysis. Firstly, it studies the measurements of the differences between an equivalent test and a prototype test, which is the basis of equivalent calculation and performance evaluation. Secondly, equivalent calculation methods are stu-died for which a prototype test is carried out. Finally for the actual situation where a prototype test is not carried out, it proposes an equivalent calculation method without prototype test based on fusion of a predictive model and simulation tests. Simulation examples verify the rationality and feasibility of the present method.
