Abstract:

To address the issue of the sharp decline in reliability of Radar-Embedded Communication (REC) over doubly selective fading channels, an Orthogonal Time-Frequency-Space (OTFS) modulation based REC method is proposed. First, REC is integrated with OTFS to enable the application of OTFS in REC communication systems through model construction and transceiver module design. Second, a communication information embedding method based on anti-interference pilot design is proposed, which significantly improves the information carrying efficiency of REC communication. Third, a reception method combining waveform matching and symbol detection is developed, which effectively enhances communication reliability while maintaining the anti-interception performance of the waveform. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves excellent Signal Error Rate (SER) performance below 10-2 under Signal-to-Clutter Ratio (SCR) lower than -25 dB, demonstrating excellent bit error rate performance. This work provides valuable insights for enhancing the feasibility of REC technology in future engineering applications.
