Abstract:

A Modified Maximum Likelihood Algorithm is presented to process the flight test data(FTA). Based on the analyses of the Maximum Likelihood Algorithm which is being used now, two main disadvantages existing in the old algorithm are found when it is applied to process FTA. And they are solved by the Modified Maximum Likelihood Algorithm in the paper. As an example, the Modified Maximum Likelihood Algorithm is applied into the area of the FTA′s compatibility checking and reconstruction. The plane is described by the six freedom degree dynamic model. The results show that the Modified Maximum Likelihood Algorithm improves the old algorithm′s performance of convergence and makes it easier to choose the initial values of the identified parameters. It can be concluded that the Modified Maximum Likelihood Algorithm is more suitable to process the FTA than the old one.
