Abstract: Software reliability crowth testing, a new concept presented in recent years, is the maintaks of softwane reliability engineering during the system test phase in the software life cycle. Thispaper first studies the basic concept of software reliability growth testing and then discusses severalpoints in the process of implementing it, i. e. how to choose test cases in accordance with the real operational profile, software reliability growth prediction and the correct collection of failure data. All ofthese problems constitute the main difficulties in making the estimation and prediction of software reliability trust worthy.
