Abstract

Abstract:

Vibration and noise are transmitted through multiple and/or multi-dimensional paths. The effects of transfer paths and dynamic interactions among them as well as sources and receivers are not well understood. Identification of dominant path(s) is crucial for subsequent passive control or structural modifications in order to attenuate vibration and noise levels.
