Structure Design and Parameter Optimization of Lightweight Composite Canister Cover

Abstract:

The structure of a lightweight laminated composite canister cover is designed in order to propose solutions for the problems in the composite canister covers developed at present in China. Firstly an initial design of the weak structure and principal part is proposed. The structural parameters of the cover are then optimized based on the results of transient numerical simulation for the process of gas flow impact on the cover when a missile launches. The results of numerical simulation for the process of gas flow impact on the optimized cover structure verify that the the optimized cover structure satisfies the lightweight requirement while ensuring great performance of cover separation.
