Abstract: Petri network is an important modeling method, which can represent and analyze the dynamic characteristices of discrete event dynamic systems exhabiting asynchronous and concurent activites. On the other hand, computer simulation is also an efficient way of system quantitative analysis and performance evaluation. The research which combines these two methods is briefly introduced. The configurations, functions and simulating steps of the Petri network simulator are discribed in more detail. Finally, the simulation results are given for some application examples.
