ACCELERATED CORROSION TEST OF THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE UNDER EQUIVALENT ENVIRONMENT SPECTRUM AND THE COMPUTING METHOD FOR THE CALENDAR LIFE

Abstract: It has been first successfully completed on the accelerated corrosion test of the aircraft structure under equivalent environment spectrum,and the calendar effective time of protection coating systems ( yo) and corrosion propagation rate( v ) of the body are obtained. A set of method and formula for the computation of calendar first D check, calendar time since overhaul and total calendar life is presented by using tests data. It is obtained that the calendar first D check y1=yo +yc , calendar time since overhaul yN =y1-(yoyO ), and the total calendar life YT =yo (1+R+…+RN)+(N+1)YC+NYS.Using aircraft service corrosion damage date, the computed method of calendar first D check is found. Based on components accelerated corrosion test and statistical data of service corrosion damage, the calendar life for the aircraft of HX type is given out.
