Abstract: The moire interferometry of partial coherent light is applied to measure the displacement field for composite joints with a pinhole. The moire pattern is used to determine the strain and stress on the horizontal section through the pinhole centre. The relative error of the experiment results is less than 6%. This research demonstrates that the moire interferometry of partial coherent light is an efficient experimental technique for the strain and stress measurement of composite joints.
