Abstract: In view of the damnification in cuneal composite structures of duck wings and aileron assemblies of a certain aircraft, the article analyzes the cause of damnifying, and proposes the use of electromagnetic riveting in composite structures.Through experimental study, it advances some key parameters in electromagnetic riveting technology, such as the countersink depth, the gap between nail and hole, rivet length, and suggests using an inclined plane riveting nest in cuneal composite structures.Rivet swells on different methods are compared, and riveted joints are detected using Cscan. The results show that riveting quality is improved by using the electromagnetic riveting process in cuneal composite structures, that the installation damnification is reduced, and that electromagnetic riveting can solve the problems of ordinary riveting in cuneal composite structures.
