Abstract:

The tensile experiments were conducted over a wide range of temperatures (25-800℃) and strain rates (10-5-10-2s-1) on material test system(MTS809) to investigate the flow behaviors of alloy IC10. Experiments show that: the flow behaviors are not sensitive to strain rates at ambient temperature; the flow behaviors are sensitive to the temperature at the same strain rate of 10-4s-1; the yield stress changes little with the variation of experimental conditions at the range of temperatures (25-800℃) and strain rate (10-5-10-2 s-1).Based on the experiments, the Johnson-Cook equation is modified and fitted, and the modified Johnson-Cook equation is used to predict the flow behaviors at different strain rates and different temperatures. The comparisons between models and experiments show that the modified Johnson-Cook equation works well in real prediction.
