Comparison of Probabilistic Statistical Method and Interval Analysis Method for Eigenvalue Problem of Structures System with Uncertain Parameters

Abstract:

In this paper, a non-probability method called interval analysis method to deal with the complex uncertainty of the intelligent structure is presented. And a finite element analysis method using interval analysis is formulated. The uncertainty of dynamic responses for intelligent structure with uncertain parameters is investigated. Finally a numerical example of a joist frame is given to discover the behaviors of uncertain intelligent structures and the results show that it is a good work in controlling the dynamic responses.
