Abstract:

The degradation of acrylic polyurethane coating when exposed to UV radiation is studied by monitoring its properties variation using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).The properties of the coating such as porosity resistance, coating capacitance, polarize resistance and double electrolayer capacitance are changed obviously before and after being exposed to UV light.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy demonstrates that the porosity of the film increases with the exposure time and it can be measured quantitatively.
