Abstract: A modified DS evidence combination method is proposed to solve the problem of combining evidences withhigh degree of conflict . Such a method comprehensively utilize the advantages of DS theory and additive strategy.First the result of DS theory and additive strategy are compared , then if they are consistent with each other , the result of DS theory will be chosen to guarantee the algorithm’s convergence ability , otherwise the result of DS theorywill be modified by the result of additive strategy to guarantee the algorithm’s dependability.
