Abstract:

A MIMO adaptive control system which performs both system identification and control in real time has been developed and applied to a free free vibrational structure. The identification and control are realized in unison by the recursive least mean square. Vibrational structures without any information known in advance are controlled. The control system consists of a TMS320C30 data signal processing board, which is to calculate the identification and control algorithm, and a multi channel data acquisition board. For periodic excitations, the controller provides satisfactory vibration reduction in the cases of constant frequency/constant amplitude, varied frequency, and varied amplitude excitations. The sums of the squared accelerations in controlled cases are decreased to 1% of those in uncontrolled cases.
