CALCULATION OF CRITICAL BUCKLING LOAD OF VARIABLE CROSS-SECTION ELASTIC COLUMNS UNDER AXIAL VARYING COMPRCSSIVE LOAD BY BEM

Abstract:

In this paper, the Bouudary Element Method (BEM) is employed to calculate the critical buckling load of elastic columns with varying cross-sections under axial varying compressive load. A set of results is calculated for several Cases. In order to illustrate the accuracy and applicability of the method for Column buckling analysis, the results obtained by this method are compared with analytical solutions.
