A FRETTING FATIGUE DAMAGE TEST DEVICE AND ITS APPLICATION

Abstract: The method of measurement and test device for fretting damage are described in this paper. The phenomena of fretting damage exist generally in mechanical engineering and so do they in aircraft and aeroengine. Because there are no fretting damage test techniques and devices to be used, the fretting bridge test device is developed. The fretting fatigue damage test of the Titanium Alloy TC11 and High Temperature Alloy GX 8 is satisfactory by using the technique and device developed in this paper.
