Abstract: The tailless aircrafts are regarded as a developing way of the new type aircrafts, which have non-linear characteristic of strong coupling in the lateral-directional mode and in between lateral-directional mode and longitudinal mode due to lack of empennage and even fuselage. The nonlinear self-adaptive control method is applied to the flight control systems of the tailless aircrafts, and the simulation tool of MATLAB is used at the same time. With the real-time simulation to the tailless airplane model, the relevant simulation curves have been acquired, and the result analyzed by the simulation curves validates that this control method is feasible to the flight control systems of the tailless aircraft.
