NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF TWO PHASE FLOW WITHIN PASSIVE EJECTORS

Abstract: The two phase flow within a passive ejector was simulated by employing the method of implicit vector flux splitting scheme combined with the approximate factorization algorithm for 2 D Euler equations, coupled with the characteristic method of the particle phase. The minimum outlet pressure of the nozzle was found when the normal shock wave was presented down stream within the ejector, and the effects of different ejector structures on the position of shock wave were analyzed. From this, the optimum structure was obtained. The calculated results provide the basis for the designing and using of passive ejectors.
