Abstract:

A residual strength model of elements’ fatigue reliability evaluation is put forward. Obviously residual strength is the basis of this model and as a result the focus is on the residual strength. The general form of the residual strength model is discussed in detail and the degradation rule of the residual strength is studied analytically and experimentally. Based on it the expression to describe this rule is presented, and subsequently an approach to analyze the fatigue reliability of elements under constant amplitude and two\|block amplitude loading is given in detail. Two examples have been carried out to demonstrate the validity of the presented model. It is shown that the estimation has good correlation with the experiment.
