Abstract:

By utilizing the design method of the Linear Quadratic Regulator, a new optimal guidance law for infrared and radar homing missile which has good adaptability and high precision for attacking maneuvering targets was derived. For resolving the important problem in engineering accomplishing, an adaptive statistical model of target maneuvering was proposed. Based on the statistical model of target maneuvering and nonlinear Kalman filter, a new algorithm which uses infrared seeker AGC signal or radar seeker range measure signal to estimate maneuvering targets acceleration, distance and velocity between missile and target was proposed. The simulation results of two prototype missile controls and the reformed guide system proved the algorithm to have good stability and convergence.
