FREE-WAKW CALCULATION OF HELICOPTER ROTOR BLADES

Abstract

Abstract: Coordinate of circulation and wake of helicopter blades are iterated step by step with the method of time history in the theory of free vortices. Each azimuth is re iterated until its wake is stable and its induced down wash flow is obtained. The down wash flow calculated in an example of a certain helicopter can be used for aerodynamic load calculation of blades. The calculated results coincide well with the test data.
