A STUDY OF THE FAULT-TOLERANT CONTROL FOR PLANT IN OPERATIONAL PROCESSES

Abstract: In this paper, a design way of the fault tolerant control for plant in the operational processes is presented. It is based on the detected failure information and a method of combination of the fault diagnosis and the tolerant techniques is adopted. At the same time, several schemes on the fault tolerant control and their implemented methods are introduced too. Finally, an example of the direct current motor variable speed equipment is given and analysed. The results show that operational reliability and safety can be effectively enhanced and capability of the failure autonomy for plant can be increased. The research level at present and the research topics in future on the fault tolerant control are briefly introduced at the end of this paper.
