COMPUTING FORMULA AND FITTING METHOD OF THE SURFACE-TO-SURFACE BALLISTIC MISSILE ACCURACY

Abstract: To compute a missile accuracy is to solve many complicated trajectory differential equations in a long time. On condition that the computing error is allowed, it is a good idea to substitute solving these differential equations by computing a simple formula. In this paper, the accuracy variation law of the surface to surface ballistic missile is summarized. Based on the law and harmonic analysis theory, the missile accuracy model for computing is structured. The order of harmonic function is selected, and the method of fitting is proposed by using approximation theory. The presented method is used for structuring real missile accuracy computing formula. Computing a missile accuracy under same conditions by respectively using the method of computing trajectory and fit formulas, the maximal approximate error is less than 1%. The proposed formula is simple and practical.
