Abstract: Minimum time acceleration of aircraft turbojet engines are presented. These accelerations are calculated by using a nonlinear engine model based on average variable ratio of specific heat and a modified constrained variable metric nonlinear programming. The algorithm is used to find minimum time acceleration histories for a two spool turbojet engine. The results show that the optimal acceleration time is shorter by about 50% compared with the original one from idle to military without violating any constrained conditions. On the view of engineering, the selection of programming method and engine model are discussed. Some technical problem and typical results of calculation are analysed. Finally, the problems deserving further reseach are proposed.
