High speed aerodynamic design of large civil transporter based on CFD method

Abstract:

The aerodynamic optimization and design is discussed in this paper,including the combination of local and global search methods,the combination of human experience and automatic optimization,the parameterization technique and the automatic mesh generation method.These techniques are developed and explored for the high speed aerodynamics of large civil transporter and,meanwhile,integrated with the artificial experience based on the state of the arts numerical tools,the optimization algorithm and the computing hardware,which highly improves the design efficiency.The method and process of engineering aerodynamic design with constraints in multiple disciplines,such as aerodynamics,icing and static aero-elastics,are also improved in this paper.Furthermore,a supercritical wing design is demonstrated as an example for the application of above techniques to high speed aerodynamic design of large civil transporter.
