Abstract:

To balance the requirements of carrier phase-locked loop (PLL) dynamic adaptability and tracking accuracy, the switching features of a GPS three-order carrier PLL in the hybrid dynamic cases are analyzed, and a GPS three-order carrier PLL switched linear model is presented. The proposed switching model is analyzed based on the switching system stability theory, and then the sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of the GPS three-order carrier PLL tracking loop are derived based on the switching model and linear switching system stability criteria. Finally, a GPS software receiver and hybrid dynamic trajectory are used to verify the performance of the GPS three-order carrier PLL with switching characteristics. The results show that the GPS three-order carrier PLL which meet switching stability conditions has better performance under hybrid dynamic circumstances
