Abstract:

Cooperative reconnaissance, operation modes of multi-unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) formation flight can enhance successful rate of the single operation for single aircraft to some extent, so multi-UAVs formation flight is currently one of the most active research topics in the domain of UAV research and development. According to the current situation, the concept and application of coordinated formation flight control is introduced firstly. Then the foreign and domestic researches and their results in the aspect of coordinated formation-flight (CFF) control of multi-UAVs are overviewed, and at the same time several related key issues are discussed and analyzed respectively, including formation design, aerodynamic coupling, formation reconfiguration, trajectory planning, information exchange and formation flight control strategy prlblems. Finally, research areas are proposed to address development tendency and challenges. The research results also have some reference value for cooperative operations of the multi-platform system.

Key words: multi-unmanned aerial vehicles, coordinated formation flight, flight control strategy, testing, information-annlysis
