Optimum Design of Unsymmetrical and Unbalanced Composite Laminate

Abstract: A design method for unsymmetrical and unbalanced composite sandwich panel is established to meet the requirement of aeroelastic tailoring for a wing design. The ply angles and ply stacking sequence of this composite sandwich panel are optimized, and a genetic algorithms is employed to optimize the ply stacking sequence. Digit code is adopted and the corresponding operators of reproduction, crossover and mutation are designed during genetic algorithm analysis. The same analysis example is verified.
