Research of 3D Design Method for Rotor of Supersonic High Loaded Contra-rotating Turbine with Large expansile Meridional Channel

Abstract:

A new 3D profiles design method basing on S1 surfaces and more according with the true 3D flows in machinery, has been presented in the paper in order to design the rotor blades of supersonic highly loaded contra-rotating turbine(CRT) with large meridional flowpath divergence angle. The basic principle of 3D profiles design has been introduced detailedly and the high pressure rotor of supersonic highly loaded CRT with exit Mach 1.33 and meridional channel divergence angle 37.3°was designed.
