Activated Flux Plasma Arc and Arc Force

Abstract:

The phenomenon of welding arc affected by the activated flux is studied, and the relationships between the welding arc force and the activated flux are studied. The model of axial pressure of activated flux PAW welding is developed. The results show that: the activated flux PAW welding arc is contractive, the arc tail disappears; the efflux plasma increases, the force of penetration is strengthened, the arc voltage is larger, the welding arc temperature distribution in activated flux PAW welding is compact, the outline of the welding arc temperature field is narrow, the range of the welding arc temperature distribution is comparatively concentrated, the welding arc radial temperature gradient is larger, the distribution radius of activated flux PAW welding arc force decreases, and the peak value of activated flux PAW welding arc force increases.
