Abstract: The scattered field and radar cross section (RCS) of arbitrarily rotary reflectors for arbitrary aspects of bistation are investigated, where the reflected field is obtained by Geometrical Optics, and the diffracted field is computed by the method of equi valent currents (MEC) based on the derivation of an asymptotic relationship between the surface radiation integral of the physical theory of diffraction and the line radiation integral of MEC. The RCS pattern for both axial and paraxial incidences with horizontal and vertical polarizations are calculated respectively. The results obtained are expressed by solid figures. The simplified results of monostatic RCS from the method in this paper agree well with the experimental results.
