Abstract: The fuzzy control theory is used to make the microcomputer program as the control rule. The microcomputer is used to implement the function of fuzzy controller. The theory of fuzzy control is introduced. Generally, there are two design methods of fuzzy controller. The fuzzy controller was designed by use of the phase-plane method. Real engine tests were carried out several times on the stand test bed. In these real engine tests the engine worked well in the steady state when the small reference input signal or perturbation was applied to the control system and in the acceleration process when the big reference input signal was applied. These test results indicate that the engine using fuzzy controller has a good control peformance. The hardware and the software of the microcomputer are introduced. The sensors, servo-mechanism, ... etc are explained too.The block diagram of the real engine test and the main flow chart of the microcomputer program are shown. And finally some conclusions have been got.
