Abstract:

On the basis of theories of porous materials and dry friction, and combining with the model of small curved beam, nonlinear constitutive relation of metalrubber is constructed. Static compressive experiments are made for fourteen kinds of hollow cylinders of metalrubber, whose density and shape factor are both different. Experimental data are sorted out for curve fitting. Through fitting experimental data of hollow cylindrical metalrubber, the relations among coefficients of nonlinear constitutive relation, density and shape factor are obtained. According to the relation, when the density and shape factor of the material are simultaneously various,if the density and shape factor of metalrubber are given, all the coefficients of the material can be predicted, further the prediction for the constitutive relation of metalrubber is realized when density and shape factors of the material vary simultaneously . Ultimately two kinds of metalrubber, which are outside the scope of the fourteen kinds of samples, are applied to prove the result obtained. By the case, The method is proved to be effective and rational, by which nonlinear constitutive relation of metalrubber is predicted on condition that density and shape factors both vary.
