Abstract:

The “transgranular” internal microstructure of ceramic composites, the crystalline phase of its composition and the measurement of the crystalline size are revealed. By atom force microscopy (AFM), the surface topography and the microstructure of the twodimensional ultrasonic vibration grinding ceramics are especially analyzed. Experimental results show that the ductile deformation of dislocation glide and lattice distortion are the principal removal mechanisms of Al2O3/ZrO2 composites.
