CORROSION DEMARCATION OF AIRPLANE STRUCTURES OF CHINA AND EQUIVALENCE ENVIRONMENTAL SPECTRUM

Abstract:

In order to analyse the calendar life of the aircraft from qualitatively to quantitatively,the technical key is the equivalence relation between the atmospheric environment exposed and tested, using the corrosion electric current I c as a scale of the corrosion environment of the metal structures. In this paper, an equivalence standard of equal corrosion quantity, the methods of drawing up the environmental spectrum and ESXU system program are presented. On the basis of measuring the corrosion electric current I c and the collected data from 153 station in China, the corrosion quantity is computed. According to the corrosion quantity, different corrosion areas are divided, and the general equivalence environmental spectra are presented. It is very important for the aircraft plan demonstration,the structures corrosion control,the calendar life determination, drawing up the maintenance rules and the maintenance cost estimation.
