Abstract:

A strength analysis method for multiple connected plate of composite is proposed, which is suitable for design calculations. Using the complex potential method in the plane theory of elasticity of an anisotropic body, an analytical solution concerned with the stress concentration around the holes in a finite composite laminated plate is obtained with the help of the Faber series expansion and the least square boundary collocation technique. Yamada Sun point stress criterion and characteristic length are used to predict hole strength, so the complex and difficult to test numerical simulation procedure of strength, including contact stress, material nonlinearity, large displacement and stiffness reduction, is avoided. The dimensions between bolts, pin loads distribution and bearing strength are studied in detail after the method is tested.
