Abstract: A TVD scheme is used to solve the 2D unsteady full N S equation and the phenomenon of moving shock diffraction is studied. The surface pressure computed with viscous equations is more in agreement with experiment on a wedge corner. As a shock wave impinges on an obstacle, the reflex wave root is widened due to boundary layer interaction. Separating, reattachment and vortex induced by viscous effect in some region are shown in the paper. From the results, a numerical simulation with the full N S equation can get the characteristics of the shock wave interaction with the viscous effect.
