Abstract: An analytic method is presented for nonlinear three-dimensional problems of compo-site laminated circular plates. The geometric nonlinearity from a moderately large deflection isconsidered. The perturbation method and the variational principle are used to satisfy the nonlinear three-dimensional di fferential equations and the boundary conditions. The analvtic nonlinear three-dimensional solutions of high accuracy are obtained for circular laminas and laminated plates with rigidly clamped edges and under uniform transverse loadings. Each of the plate displacements and stresses is shown in figures. The results show that this analytic method used to solve nonlinear three-dimensional problems for composite laminates is effective.
