Abstract: This paper derives the complete gyro motion equations which are suitable for compu ter simulation and plots the simulation curves. From these curves we can see the variation laws of rotational angular velocities and rotational angles of gyro from start to stability under the external torque actions. And it can be seen that through decreasing the gyro spin rate and the external torques the violent vibration of the gyro without locking mechanism can be eliminated so that the purpose of smooth start can be achieved.
