Abstract: A preliminary summary and analysis of the main problems arising from the parachute test in the low speed wind tunnel is presented in the paper, and the methods for solving these problems are also given. It has been demonstrated that the wall interference could not be neglected for the dynamic load measurement of parachute during its openning, the condition of " indefinit mass" is not suitable for wind tunnel testing for determining the maximum pulling straight force during the parachute openning, the conventional and E. C. Maskell correction method of wall interference are not suitable for the static load mesurements while the wall signature method can provide accurate correction, the results obtained from different techniques may have great differences, and for the static load measurements of parachute in horizontal configurated wind tunnel a guide equipment is needed to eliminate the angle deviation. A detailed technique for measuring the stability and lateral loads of parachute is recommended in the paper.
