EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF ENERGY LOSS IN NOZZLE CASCADE FOR PARTICIPATE FLOWS

Abstract: The energy loss of gas-particle two phase flow in a nozzle cascade has been investigated experimentally. Detailed measurements are made for three mass concentrations, α = 0, 2.0%, 2.7% and for two inlet angles of attack of i=-10 ° . 0 ° , and for an inlet velocity of C= 10m/ s. The results indicate that the solid phase has certain effect on the energy loss of gas phase. With an increased mass concentration and inlet angle of attack, the energy loss of gas-particle two phase flow in a nozzle cascade will increase.
