FRACTURE ANALYSIS FOR TURBINE DISC

Abstract: In this paper, the fracture accident at the rim of turbine disc for an industrial gas turbine is calculated and analyzed. The temperature field and stress field under the normal state and the fracture accident state are calculated by using FEM in the disc body and the fir tree foot groove of turbine disc. The results of calculation show that effect of cooling fashion by air is very important for the stress distribution of turbine disc , and the stress state at the fir tree root of disc has severe influence on causing the fracture accident of turbine disc.
