Abstract: Lattice materials, owing to their superior functional characteristics, flexible design-ability, and robust manufacturability, are pivotal for achieving structural and functional integration in future advanced aero-engines. This article delineates the structural forms, chemical compositions, manufacturing processes, and functional characteristics of the predominant lattice materials, in light of the application requirements of aero-engines and the exploratory research findings of the author’s team. A comprehensive analysis is presented, focusing on the application schemes, implementation methodologies, and technological advantages of lattice materials. These materials, characterized by intense heat exchange, high thermal insulation, elevated specific strength, impact resistance, and tailored expansion, find utility in fundamental components of advanced aero-engines, such as blades, casings, heat ex changers, and rotors. The article concludes by projecting prospects for the application of lattice materials in the realm of aero-engines and proffering developmental recommendations.
