Abstract: Mount thrust measurement technique is developed to obtain aero-engine gross thrust in flight on direct thrust measurement method. The method was established by means of thrust-load calibration test and strain-gage thermal correction test before shear strain full-bridges and thermal resistor were installed on thrust pin. Correlation analysis and F distribution significance analysis show that the thrust-load calibration equation has high accuracy. Mount thrust measurements in bed test and flight test are carried out. The bed test results show that the maximum error of mount thrust measurement is 2.41%, verifying high accuracy and reliability of the method. The characteristics of altitude-mount thrust, speed-mount thrust and engine condition-mount thrust are analyzed. Flight test results show that mount thrust increases with the increase of flight Mach number, especially in the transonic range from about 0.98 to 1.02.
